I am a certified Speech-Language Pathologist offering in-person and virtual therapy services for children and adults.

I completed my Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne and my Bachelor of Psychology from Dalhousie University. I’m passionate about providing client-centered and evidence-based care. I believe that therapy should be fun, motivating and meaningful!

I work with clients and families from my home office in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia.

What is a Speech-Language Pathologist?

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are trained to assess and treat individuals with impairments or delays in speech, language, literacy or any form of communication. Speech-Language Pathologists must maintain accreditation with the Nova Scotia College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists.

Assessment

Prior to beginning therapy, new clients complete an initial assessment. The nature and length of the assessment will vary depending on the client’s communication needs and goals. The assessment fee includes the provision of a comprehensive report which will include recommendations and therapy goals.

Therapy

Assessment

Therapy sessions are offered in 30-minute or 60-minute time frames. The goals of therapy are identified through assessment and consultation with families. Goals are evolving, flexible and meant to be adapted during the course of therapy. Home practice activities are provided at the end of each session and consistent practice outside of the clinic will increase success.

Assessments

Initial Assessment……..… $175

Assessments vary in length from 40 minutes - 90 minutes. The fee includes report writing time and the provision of a comprehensive report.

Billing

Direct billing is available with Blue Cross. For all other health insurance providers, an invoice will be provided to the client to submit for reimbursement. It is the client’s responsibility to confirm their eligibility for coverage.

Methods of Payment

Accepted methods of payment include e-transfer, cash, or credit card. Payment is due at the time of service. There is a 48-hour cancellation policy. Late cancellations and missed appointments will incur a $50 fee.
